7 Days 4x4 Tour Agadir – Zagora – Merzouga – Marrakech

Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1 — Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Agdz

   We cross the Souss plain with its orange groves and argan trees. Visit of Taroudant and lunch at Taliouine, then on to Agdz via Taznakht and Bouazer. Dinner and night at the hotel. (460 km)

2. Day 2 — Agdz – Zagora – Tagounite – M'Hamid

   We cross the track to Tansikht, then take the road along the Draa Valley. Lunch in Zagora, then on to the dunes of Erg Lihoudi via Zagora, Tagounite and M'Hamid. Dinner and night in a bivouac. (260 km, of which 80 km of track)

3. Day 3 — M'Hamid – Tamegroute – Zagora

   We leave M'Hamid along the right bank of the Draa Valley. Lunch at Tamegroute with a visit to its Koranic library, then on to Zagora. Dinner and night at the hotel. (90 km)

4. Day 4 — Zagora – Tazarine – Rissani – Merzouga

   We leave Zagora along the right bank of the Draa Valley over the Tizi n'Tafilalet. Lunch at Tazarine, then on into the Tafilalet valley. Accommodation in a hotel or a bivouac depending on the weather. (250 km)

5. Day 5 — Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinghir – Ouarzazate

   In the morning, a visit to the Todra Gorges, then lunch. In the afternoon we cross the gorges and continue via Kelaa M'Gouna to Ouarzazate on the Skoura track, with a visit to the Amridil kasbah. Dinner and night at the hotel. (360 km)

6. Day 6 — Ouarzazate – Tizi n'Tichka – Marrakech

   In the morning, a stop at the village of Ait Ben Haddou, then lunch. In the afternoon we continue to Marrakech to visit the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace and Jemaa el-Fna square, with a stop at the Koutoubia. Optional Fantasia dinner outside the hotel. (220 km)

7. Day 7 — Marrakech – Chichaoua – Imintanout – Agadir

   In the morning we cross the Haouz plain and the High Atlas. Lunch at Bigoudine with a visit to a traditional Berber house. In the late afternoon, a visit to Agadir: fishing port, kasbah and new town. (280 km)
