This policy explains how Desert Araouane, trading as Desert Araouane ("we", "us"), collects and uses personal data through https://www.desertaraouane.com. We are the data controller.

We process personal data in line with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, and, for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the GDPR.
Data we collect
- Enquiry and booking details you send us: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, travel dates, group size, ages of children, preferences and your message.
- Traveler details needed to run a confirmed trip, such as full names, nationality and, where required by accommodation or authorities, passport details.
- Payment references and invoices. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data in server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security.
- Analytics data and cookie identifiers, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share only what is necessary with: local partners who deliver your trip (drivers, guides, hotels, camps), payment and banking providers, our hosting, email and form providers, analytics provider (only with your consent), and public authorities when the law requires it.
International transfers
Your data is processed in Morocco and may be processed by service providers located in the European Union or elsewhere. Where data leaves your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact. Booking and invoice records are kept for the period required by Moroccan accounting and tax law. Analytics data is kept according to the retention set in the analytics tool.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Under Law 09-08 you also have the right of access, rectification and opposition.
Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Moroccan data protection authority (CNDP) or to the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
Security and children
We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to those who need it. This website is not directed to children under 16; details about minors travelling with you should be provided by a parent or guardian.
