6-daagse tour: Marrakech – Dadès-vallei – Merzouga – Zagora – Erg Chegaga – Ouarzazate

Dagprogramma

1. Dag 1 — Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges

   Pick up from Marrakech airport or Hotel crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. You will pass through lots of Berber villages. Arrival to the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou an ancient fortified city which has been a place for numerous Hollywood movies (The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander, Lawrence of Arabia...). Lunch in Ouarzazate. Then, you'll head through the Valley of the Roses to Dades gorges where you will enjoy dinner and night at a Kasbah hotel.

2. Dag 2 — Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

   After breakfast, we drive from Dades Valley to Todra Gorges - a massive fault dividing the High Atlas Mountains, rising up 300 meters in a narrow valley with palm trees and Berber villages. After lunch you'll head further into the desert to the gateway town of Merzouga to pick up supplies for your desert trip. You'll have a camel ride for an hour-and-a-half to a Berber desert camp where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and sleep under the stars or under the nomad tents.

3. Dag 3 — Merzouga – Tazarine – Draa Valley – Zagora

   After an unforgettable night in erg chebbi, you will admire the sunrise upon the dunes, then breakfast is served and ride camels to the hostel to meet your driver, shower and leave to Rissani to visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the palm tree grove as a part of your exploration. Lunch break in Tazarine, then we continue to Agdez via the bridge of Tansikht and the highest part of Draa valley. Dinner and night in Zagora.

4. Dag 4 — Zagora – Tamgeroute – M'Hamid – Erg Chegaga

   After a nice breakfast, we head out to Tamgeroute to visit the famous Koran Library and subterranean Kasbah and the Manufacture of pottery. Then, continue towards M'Hamid the "doorway to the Sahara desert" for lunch on the place. In the afternoon, after one hour and half camel ride, we take a track which carries out through the rocky, desert scenery towards the sand dunes of Chegaga that spread over 40 km. Welcome drink. Then you enjoy the sunset. Overnight in a desert camp or under a star-filled sky with evening meal and breakfast included.

5. Dag 5 — Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate

   After a nice breakfast, we head out to Tamgeroute to visit the famous Koran Library and subterranean Kasbah and the Manufacture of pottery. Then, continue towards M'Hamid the "doorway to the Sahara desert" for lunch on the place. 6. Dag 6 — Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

   After breakfast at the hotel, we tour the city of Ouarzazate before we drive for a worthy visit to Telouet Kasbah. After the visit, we cross the sceneries of the high Atlas Mountains at the pass of 2260 m high. Lunch break along the Mountains before we arrive to Marrakech around 05 p.m.
