12-daagse tour: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Merzouga – Fez – Chefchaouen – Tanger – Casablanca

Dagprogramma

1. Dag 1 — Marrakech

   Upon arrival to Marrakech airport, you will meet your private driver for a transfer by van to your Marrakech hotel, where you will check in and relax for the afternoon. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

2. Dag 2 — Visit Marrakech

   After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the magnificent Koutoubia, the Palace of the Bahia, the Medrassa Ben Yousef and many other historical sites. After lunch, you will continue with the tour to the famous Djemaa el-Fna square, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. The tour will conclude with an exploration of Majorelle gardens and the souks lined with intricately woven fabrics and many other art objects of Morocco. Dinner will be served in the hotel.

3. Dag 3 — Marrakech – Imlil

   Departure from Marrakech towards Imlil village which is located at 70 km from Marrakech bellow the Toubkal Mountain, the last step before the ascent of Toubkal, Imlil is known as the departure point of treks as well. After one hour and half drive, we reach the village where you will meet a mountain guide who will take you for a walk around the villages and the beautiful Toubkal mountains. Night and dinner in a local Berber house to explore the living style of the Berbers.

4. Dag 4 — Imlil – Telouet Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

   After breakfast with a panoramic view over the beautiful valleys of the Atlas mountains, departure from Imlil village crossing the attractive scenery of the Atlas mountains and the pass of Tizi n'Tichka (2260 m) and to the Telouet Kasbah which belonged to the Lords of the Atlas Pacha Glaoui and his family. In the afternoon, after lunch, depart to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah once used as a backdrop for many Hollywood blockbusters, via the Ounila Valley with its Berber villages, then onwards to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

5. Dag 5 — Ouarzazate – Skoura – Rose Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

   Today, start from Ouarzazate towards Skoura for a quick 20 minutes visit of the Amridil Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern "Route of the thousand Kasbahs". Continuing our journey through the Valley of the Roses before heading to Todra gorges. After lunch, you'll head further into the desert to the gateway town of Merzouga to pick up supplies for your desert trip. You will then drive on to a Kasbah to pick up your camel. At sunset, you'll trek for an hour-and-a-half by camel to a Berber camp where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and sleep under the stars or in tents at a desert camp.

6. Dag 6 — Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fez

   Early wake up to enjoy the sunrise on the sand dunes, and camel ride back to the hotel where the Van await you. Shower and breakfast and then departure to Errachidia via Erfoud and the Ziz Valley. Nice stops to enjoy the scenery. Lunch will be served in Midelt. After lunch, you will drive to Fez via the Cedar Forest, Ifrane and the mountains of the middle Atlas. Arrival in Fez in late afternoon. Dinner and night at the hotel/Riad.

7. Dag 7 — Visit Fez

   After breakfast, you will meet your tour guide for a guided visit of Fez, one of the world's largest walled cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven fabrics and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience. For lunch, you will eat in traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch you will complete the tour and return to your hotel for the evening. Night with breakfast at the Hotel.

8. Dag 8 — Fez – Chefchaouen

   After breakfast at the hotel, departure via the beautiful sceneries of the Rif mountains to reach the pearl of the north "Chefchaouen". Explore the city of Chefchaouen known for its blue-washed walls, which are a testament to the city's rich history. Morocco's blue city that attracts travelers and Moroccans alike, both of whom are intrigued by this enticing city. Its blue-glazed houses and buildings are a tradition that comes from the town's former Jewish population. Chefchaouen was known as one of the main concentrations of Moriscos and Jews who sought refuge in this mountainous city after the Spanish Reconquista in medieval times. Dinner and night in a guest House.

9. Dag 9 — Chefchaouen – Tangier

   After breakfast, depart towards the city of Tangier via the green lush of the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival to Tangier, the tour will include: the cosmopolitan, gate of Europe and Africa at the same time. City where is has always breathed an international flair. The visit includes also the outskirts of Tangier, in which will have the possibility to go through residential areas, visit the interior of the caves of Hercules without overlook the beautiful landscape which enjoys this city and the Cape Spartel, point where the two seas meet. Dinner and night at the hotel.

10. Dag 10 — Tangier – Asilah – Casablanca

    After breakfast at the hotel, departure from Tangier to Casablanca via Asilah, similar to Greece, with its whitewashed houses and blue walls and doors. Asilah is an art city with many beautiful murals covering the interior city walls. Lunch to be enjoyed in this beautiful town before we depart towards Casablanca with nice stops. Arrive at your hotel in Casablanca to check in for the night with breakfast.

11. Dag 11 — Casablanca – Marrakech

    In the morning you'll visit Casablanca, the economical Capital of Morocco. First you'll visit the central market, the Habous district, the Mohamed V square, the residential area of Anfa and the gorgeous mosque of Hassan II. Optional fish lunch at the Corniche. After lunch departure to Marrakech. Arrive late afternoon. Check in and night at the hotel.

12. Dag 12 — Marrakech – Back To The Airport

    You will be transferred to the airport for departure depending on your flight time.
