Programma giorno per giorno

Giorno 1 — Agadir – Fort Bou Jerif
Head due south along the coast, where fishermen live in troglodyte shelters dug into the cliffs, skirting the Souss-Massa nature reserve. After the villages of Massa and Tassila we turn back toward the sea to reach Mirleft, then Sidi Ifni, and follow the tip of the Atlas. Arrival at Fort Bou Jerif in the late afternoon. Dinner and night in a nomad tent. (230 km)
Giorno 2 — Fort Bou Jerif – Tafraoute
In the morning we leave the fort for Guelmim, gateway to the Moroccan desert, then continue to Amtoudi and its spring, a sublime spot. New tracks lead through the foothills of the Anti-Atlas, where oases and small Berber villages sit in a landscape of desert mountains. We reach Tafraoute in the evening, a town at 1,200 m in a bowl of huge pink granite boulders that glow at sunset in shades of pink, ochre and mauve. Visit of the village, then dinner and night at the hotel. (220 km)
Giorno 3 — Tafraoute – Tata
An early start toward the desert. We follow the Ait Mansour valley with its millions of palm trees; little by little the landscape turns arid and the green disappears. After a typical lunch we descend to Tata. Dinner and night in an inn. (313 km)
Giorno 4 — Tata – M'Hamid
An early start for a long stage through the desert, on a road whose landscapes leave even seasoned travellers speechless, broken up by oases. Arrival in M'Hamid, the gateway to the desert, where the road and civilisation give way to nature. Tonight you are served by the blue men of the desert, dance to the sound of drums and sleep in a tent or under the stars. (286 km)
Giorno 5 — M'Hamid – Taliouine
A relaxed wake-up and breakfast in the desert. We follow the Draa Valley and its millions of palm trees, cross Zagora with its famous "Timbuktu 52 days" sign and pass Tazenakht, a town famous for its Berber carpets. Arrival in Taliouine. Dinner and night in an inn. (293 km)
Giorno 6 — Taliouine – Agadir
The last day follows fairly easy tracks across desert expanses to Taroudant, the former capital of the Souss region, surrounded by crenellated ramparts and gardens of olive and palm trees. Lunch, then on to Agadir and back to your hotel for a well-earned rest. (243 km)
