Over two days, this tour delivers dramatic mountain terrain and surreal rock formations. From the winding valley of Boumalne Dades to the curious “Monkey Fingers” rocks near Tamellalt, you’ll hike, drive through gorges, stay in a guesthouse, and enjoy local Berber hospitality. 07:30 Depart Marrakech by vehicle, heading past the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka pass. 10:30 Stop for tea & photo break at panoramic viewpoint in the Atlas. 12:30 Lunch near Aït Benhaddou or Ouarzazate (depending on route). 14:30 Continue toward Dades Valley. Drive through kasbahs and gorges, observing changing terrain. 17:30 Arrive in Boumalne Dades. Check in to guesthouse. Free time to walk around village or gorge viewpoints. 19:30 Dinner in the guesthouse. Evening rest and optional sunset view-point.
06:30 Early breakfast. Depart guesthouse. 07:30 Drive to Tamellalt village, trailhead toward Monkey Fingers formation. 08:00-12:00 Hike around Monkey Fingers — exploring the rock “fingers”, the ancient kasbah ruins near base, river valley views. (Loop hike ~13-14 km, ~4 hours possible if fitness allows) komoot+1 12:30 Lunch in Boumalne Dades or nearby. 13:30 Depart Boumalne Dades back toward Marrakech (or your next destination), with scenic stops in the Dades Gorge. 17:30-18:30 Arrival in Marrakech (or wherever your hotel is).
