7 days Tour from Marrakech to Zagora Merzouga
Day 1 Marrakech – Telouet – kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate (247 km)
From Marrakech to Ouarzazate by the Tizi Tichka (2260 m).
Visit the beautiful kasbah in Telouet Laglaoui, then take the track to arrive after 3:00 track, the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou world heritage Site by UNESCO and where were shot many films: The Mummy, Lawrence of Arabia, Asterix …., continuation towards Ouarzazate (visit film studios). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 Ouarzazate – Tamagroute – Zagora (207 km)
Departure from Ouarzazate to Zagora by the magical palm grove of the Draa Valley, a chance to visit the ancient kasbah, Lunch will be in Zagora.
And the afternoon, a visit to Tamegroute: the souterain village known by the splendid library created in the 17th century in which are preserved illuminated manuscripts of the Koran written on gazelle skin, and also books of history and medicine.
The night will be at the hotel in Zagora center.
Day 3 Zagora – M’harech – jdayed
Departure from Zagora by track, Oasis Mharech lunch at an inn in the desert near the village Tafraoute, continuation towards the oasis Oubahallou to reach the end of the day at the Inn near sahara Itran Jdayed.
Day 4 Jdayed – Taouz – Begaa – Merzouga
Departure from the town Jdid destination Merzouga, through Taouz to visit its rock carvings, then continue to the village Begaa, a small town in the desert known his ropy shark teeth …
And before sunset Soliel, reach the Erg Chebbi sand dunes at Merzouga (length 22km north to south and 5 km from the east to the west).
The night will be in an inn at the foot of the dunes (an excursion on the dunes to enjoy the sunset over the dunes vertices)
Day 5 Merzouga: tour of the dunes by 4×4 and visit the village Khamliya
The journey is the most important of the tour: a trip by camel to go spend a night in the dunes in a bivouac under the nomadic tent and visit the village Gnawa Kahamliya (the slaves of sub-Saharan origin).
After breakfast, tour the dunes in a 4×4 to visit the nomadic tents in the desert and have an idea about their lifestyle, then visit the village of Khamliya slaves to assist the dance and music of the southern gnawas (former slaves of the sultan of Marrakech in 1590), then visit the lake to the open black desert flamingos and the afternoon arrive at Merzouga from camel to spend the night in the bivouac under nomad tent in the dunes Erg chebbi (2 hours away during the two hours and went for the return).
Day 6 Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Going through the magnificent palm grove of the valley ZIZ in Rissani, Erfoud and Jorf, the journey continues through several kasbahs and oases until you arrive at the Gorges du Todraà Tinghir (lunch at a local restaurant and an excursion the gorges) and continue to the Dades Gorge. The night will be in a hostel with a Berber family (an opportunity to get an idea on Moroccan cuisine).
Day 7 Dades Gorges – Rose Valley – Sekoura – Marrakech
After breakfast, departure to the Dades Gorges to join Marrakech passing Kalaat M’Gouna, the city known by road kasbahs miles and the valley of roses (see gum products extract of roses), then a stopover the palm of Ouarzazate (visit the kasbah EMRIDILE), then Ouarzazate (visit film studios in Ouarzazate) and the Tichka reach Marrakechla end of the day
